On Sunday 27th September 2015 we are hosting a Food & Countryside Day at Chepstow Racecourse, there will be lots going on throughout the day aimed at the whole family!
Main parade ring will feature demonstrations going on throughout the day, including:

- Ben Long Falconry
- Karl Humphries Fly Fishing
- Rowan Working Horses
- Parade of Hounds
- BASC Gun Dog Scurries
- Terrier & Lurcher Show
We also have a second demonstration ring, with much more going on throughout the day, and an area to listen to talks about our local countryside, forest and wildlife!
Come and visit our Food & Drink Marquee, sponsored by the Forest of Dean & Wye Valley Tourism Association, showcasing food & drink producers from the region. We are delighted to welcome Celebrity Chef James Tanner who will be demonstrating in our AGA Rangemaster Cookery Area throughout the day, with locally sourced produce. We also have Katherine Marland from “Kather’s Kitchen” in Monmouthshire, Katherine appeared on ITV’s Britain’s Best Dish, as well as local chef Rayeesa’s Indian Kitchen, who will be creating mouthwatering Indian dishes, Pastry Chef Brook Graham, from the Tudor Farm House Hotel in Clearwell, plus other guests!
As well as the above, we have lots on for the family, including face painters, Inflatables and Donkey Rides. Why not come and have a cuddle with the community farm!

Lots of family activities including face painters, the Dragon Bounce & Slide, and the Rainbow Run, have a go on the donkey rides and enjoy a hands on farming experience with the community farm and meet some animals up close.
Learn with the Gwent Rural Life Museum, and “Bessie the Cow” who is a full size model cow, and provides customers with a free “hands on” milking experience.
We will also have a Family Fun Dog Show taking place, in our Second Arena (Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times).
We have launched our Lecture Area, where you can go and listen throughout the day to a variety of topics on the local countryside, forestry, fishing, gardening and get to know Chepstow, with some history on Chepstow Town.
Trade Stands & Shopping
There will be plenty of stands selling local food and drink produce and much more, including Apple County Cider Co, Caws Cenarth Cheese, Elm Tree Foods & Bakery, Kelsmor Dairy Ice Cream, The Cherry Tree, All creatures great and small, Honey Bee Beautiful and many more!
